Went with Kevin for some frozen yummies today. Too close to naptime so the boys were extra silly. It was one of those "italian ice" places, and not too shabby. I had a "melon" flavor, which not only tasted like cantaloupe, but had real bits of cantaloupe in it, so it was refreshing. Looking for a decadent treat, you might want to look elsewhere, the bread and pastries looked good (pound cakes especially), but you'd be better off at a Cold Stone or Double Dip for rich, heavy stuff.
The Perkins we go to is usually speedy, but lately has not. I'm not the kind of patron who complains in a restaurant (the whole food-spitting thing) but I have walked out before, and recently. I won't name the most recent one I walked out of (rhymes with Illy's with a "ch" in front) but when you've got two hungry kids, the ol' man's gotta get them food quickly to stave off the inevitable headache. Sorry food purveyors, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
